Finished One ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~. I got Rumi yesterday, but by that point it was too late to blog, so I left it. Then dealt with the Mayu route, which I didn’t really want to do, but completed it anyway just to get it out the way, then Mio, which was a cute route, and finally Mizuka. After the six routes, I feel that Mizuka, Akane and Misaki’s routes were the most endearing, followed by Rumi’s comedic route and Mio’s.
A very enjoyable game. If Shiiko had her own route instead of Mayu, then I would have happily left off blogging for even a whole other week to complete it. All I can really hope for is that KyoAni make it into an anime (Sans Mayu, you hear me, KA?!) and that the Kanon translation project finishes soon.

Not an entirely bad route. I found some parts quite repetitive with the use of “Iiya desu”. But, I still found Akane’s route enjoyable. The christmas party scene was hilarious, though, especially with drunken Mio and drunken Shiiko, but the best part would have to be Akane being able to hold her alcohol. I was really surprised at that.
After going through the Akane Epilogue, I can definately say whole-heartedly that with a scene involving Kouhei’s return, Shiiko’s wording and the girl’s surprise (Akane at what Shiiko says and Shiiko at Kouhei’s appearance), KyoAni MUST make an anime out of this game. It fully deserves it.
Next is….ah, Mio.
Those clothes definately suit her.
Kawana Misaki GET September 16, 2008

Contrary to my statement in my last post, I broke off onto the Misaki route at the Akane/Misaki route choice flag. And I’m bloody glad I did.
The last half an hour of Misaki’s route was just so well done, it easily falls into comparison with the likes of Kanon and AIR. Heck, even after just that route on it’s own, I want to see KyoAni make an actual anime series out of this game, as the first OVA was slow and dull, and the second was all for the seckz0rs.
I really must admit though, that when Misaki doesn’t get a reply from Kouhei in the park before her epilogue scenes, I thought that I hit the “bad end”… well, if I did hit that end, I wouldn’t be typing this right now. But it really brought some tears to my eyes on the final rooftop scene. Now I know what a crying game is, instead of just knowing the title of them. Arigatou, Nexton, Tactics, you did brilliant.
So beautiful...

After watching both the OVA series, I’ve been searching for the ONE ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~ game and after finally getting it, I’m slowly working my way through Akane’s route, which is full of laughs. Even though it doesn’t have the selected character involved, there is a cute bit between Misaki and Mio where their respective disabilities make it difficult to communicate, forcing Kouhei to be the intermediate.
Kouhei: Say “Ah”.
Mio: *Can’t*
Misaki: Ah.
Kouhei: What’s the point in you saying it, senpai?!
A very nice game, despite it’s age. It’s a lot more easier with the patch, too. This is high on my recommend list.
Sora no Otoshimono starts September 15, 2008

A pretty good start to a new manga. From Suu Mikazuki, the creater of Watashi no Messiah-sama. Given how good WnMs was, I look forward to more chapters in this story, especially with a beginning as interesting as this one. Just so long as Ikaros isn’t subjected to a deus ex machina like Haruna.
Sohara’s personality change was brilliant, IMO.

Hmm. Interesting ending to the 12th episode. I was waiting for shit to hit the fan, and now it has.
This is a far better show that I expected. I like how Lelouch compares the battles to a game of chess, like that battle in E10/E11 against Cornelia. Now to see what happens between him and Shirley.
More Okochi Akira! September 4, 2008

Seriously, Negima needs more use of Akira Okochi as a character. I feel she’d do well if she was given more spotlight in the story. Sure, she had her own chapter and has a minor-major role in the current arc, but there needs to be more of her in the story, I feel.

End Thoughts: Multiple Series August 11, 2008

A late post for some anime and manga series I have recently finished. Spoilers to follow for those who haven’t seen these.
First, Kage Kara Mamoru!
Hmm…not a bad anime, my only problems were the 80’s style artwork on Mamoru’s mother’s hair, and in the opening credits, Tsubaki looked sort of like a man, or at least a she-male. It would have been better with an extra episode or two too, but eh. I did enjoy the whole nata de coco thing, and then the episodes with the aliens and the underground tunnel. That was brilliant.
Watashi no Messiah-sama
I initially didn’t like the manga after the first chapter, the result of that being that I left it on hold for reading for a couple of months. I then picked it up again and continued, and thought that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was. Though I was unhappy at the deaths of Aina and Lilu, I feel it would’ve been better if Haruna took one of their places, but that’s my opinion. Truly a great manga.

Most of this series consisted of sheer “wtfness”, but was worth it for all the comedy there was. I can’t really say a lot about this series though, yes, I enjoyed it, but not all of it, however, due to the use of elements like what nearly happened to Motoko and Takashi… effectively raping Ruelle.
Mai-HiME Manga
Brilliant. I enjoyed the whole manga from start to finish, because it broke the bounds of normal school-life/romance/comedy/action types. I think my favourite arc was the Princess vs. HiME powers, because it would’ve have determined the outcome of the final battle.
Currently working on other manga and anime, which will attain their own sections.
White Album set for 2009 airing. August 1, 2008

First post of the blog, and it’s about an upcoming anime I only just found out about. I must admit, I was surprised when I found out about it.
White Album is set for a start in January. Normally, I wouldn’t think twice about it, but after reading some information on it, I must say, I am very much intrigued about what would transpire in the series. And it’s been ten years since the original game’s release by Leaf, something that surprised me as well, because normally game-tv adaptions take, what, a couple of years before the game gains an animated show? I find that fact interesting. Back to the point, I hope this series pleases when it comes out.
