Finished One ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~. I got Rumi yesterday, but by that point it was too late to blog, so I left it. Then dealt with the Mayu route, which I didn’t really want to do, but completed it anyway just to get it out the way, then Mio, which was a cute route, and finally Mizuka. After the six routes, I feel that Mizuka, Akane and Misaki’s routes were the most endearing, followed by Rumi’s comedic route and Mio’s.
A very enjoyable game. If Shiiko had her own route instead of Mayu, then I would have happily left off blogging for even a whole other week to complete it. All I can really hope for is that KyoAni make it into an anime (Sans Mayu, you hear me, KA?!) and that the Kanon translation project finishes soon.

Not an entirely bad route. I found some parts quite repetitive with the use of “Iiya desu”. But, I still found Akane’s route enjoyable. The christmas party scene was hilarious, though, especially with drunken Mio and drunken Shiiko, but the best part would have to be Akane being able to hold her alcohol. I was really surprised at that.
After going through the Akane Epilogue, I can definately say whole-heartedly that with a scene involving Kouhei’s return, Shiiko’s wording and the girl’s surprise (Akane at what Shiiko says and Shiiko at Kouhei’s appearance), KyoAni MUST make an anime out of this game. It fully deserves it.
Next is….ah, Mio.
Those clothes definately suit her.
Kawana Misaki GET September 16, 2008

Contrary to my statement in my last post, I broke off onto the Misaki route at the Akane/Misaki route choice flag. And I’m bloody glad I did.
The last half an hour of Misaki’s route was just so well done, it easily falls into comparison with the likes of Kanon and AIR. Heck, even after just that route on it’s own, I want to see KyoAni make an actual anime series out of this game, as the first OVA was slow and dull, and the second was all for the seckz0rs.
I really must admit though, that when Misaki doesn’t get a reply from Kouhei in the park before her epilogue scenes, I thought that I hit the “bad end”… well, if I did hit that end, I wouldn’t be typing this right now. But it really brought some tears to my eyes on the final rooftop scene. Now I know what a crying game is, instead of just knowing the title of them. Arigatou, Nexton, Tactics, you did brilliant.
So beautiful...

After watching both the OVA series, I’ve been searching for the ONE ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~ game and after finally getting it, I’m slowly working my way through Akane’s route, which is full of laughs. Even though it doesn’t have the selected character involved, there is a cute bit between Misaki and Mio where their respective disabilities make it difficult to communicate, forcing Kouhei to be the intermediate.
Kouhei: Say “Ah”.
Mio: *Can’t*
Misaki: Ah.
Kouhei: What’s the point in you saying it, senpai?!
A very nice game, despite it’s age. It’s a lot more easier with the patch, too. This is high on my recommend list.
